Valentine's Day Workout

A Deck of Cards + Exercises = That much needed change 

A deck of cards can be a fun way to add some mystery and excitement to your workouts.

If you want to add more challenge to the work out add 21 Burpees for all face cards picked throughout the workout.

Aim for as many games in 30 minutes and get that much needed workout in for the day!

Fudge Fondue

Fudge Fondue Recipe


Healthy chocolate that doesn’t add the unnecessary fat to your healthy meal plan.

Ingredients

1 ripe (not overripe) avocado

¼ cup of cocoa

¼ cup of confectioners sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup or more of skim milk or milk substitute (I like almond milk :))

In a food processor, good blender or mini prep – scoop the flesh of the avocado inside and add about 1 tablespoon of milk. Blend until very smooth. Add a bit of milk if necessary. If there are clumps of avocado, you can press it through a fine mesh strainer.

In a small saucepan, blend the confectioners’ sugar, cocoa and ½ cup milk and whisk until smooth and combined.

Add the cocoa mixture into the processor with the avocado and process again until smooth. Add vanilla extract. Adjust density with more milk until it’s at your preferred consistency.

½ cup is a serving. Clean 8 strawberries and use it as a fondue dip!

P.S. kids love it and don’t even taste the difference!

A new country, a new season, and The Beginning Of My Journey.

Change to many if not all at one point or another in life is scary. It could be a change in job, a lifestyle change, and in my case a move to another country. Change can bring uncertainty, doubt, challenges, and a lot of tears and I mean a lot of tears. Change can also bring opportunity and the chance to show strength, your own true strength in the ever evolving and changing world.  I have been talking about this website for almost a year now. Prepping pictures and creating ideas to show everyone what I am really passionate about. There was just one problem...I couldn't press publish. I was so scared of change. I would look at these fitness bloggers with these great bodies and would envy that they were able to express themselves how I wanted to express myself. I have decided to look at change as an opportunity to share my passion for fitness. It took a change in my life to challenge my thoughts, my abilities, and to refocus my purpose.    

It is now a year later and I am finally publishing The Beginning Of My Journey. I hope you come along for the ride and enjoy my fit list.
